For more than 20 years, Professor Novelli has made significant contributions to research into tourism industry policy, and challenges and opportunities related to sustainable tourism in Africa, Asia and Europe.
In recognition of this work and her ongoing research, Marina becomes one of just 84 members of this select society, which comprises the most prominent academics contributing to the study of tourism.
The news of Marina’s comes just weeks after she won a Changemaker Impact Award for her work to support innovation and sustainability in the African tourism sector. Earlier this year, she was appointed as a member of the UN World Tourism Organization’s World Committee on Tourism Ethics.
