About this programme
The junior semester abroad programme is available to international undergraduate students for either a semester or an academic year. The autumn semester runs from September to December and the spring programme runs from January to June.
Autumn students leave the programme before the Christmas break and arrange for early assessment in their classes. Year-long students return in January and continue their studies through to the end of the academic year in June.
Spring semester students arrive a week before the beginning of semester two and the study abroad office organises an induction program and registration for classes. Spring students have an Easter break during the term and continue classes until the end of semester two in June.
Academic courses and credits
Students on study abroad programmes at the 国产探花 can choose to study a range of subjects.
Students are eligible to take up to four ten credit modules in their preferred area of study.
However, all classes are subject to availability, so students are required to have a good choice of options available to them.
For more detailed information about each module, visit the university's school webpages:
During the induction week, you can send module outlines back to the adviser at your home university for approval.
Module options
Our courses offer a combination of the latest subject knowledge, practical experience and industry-standard facilities, with the aim of giving you a competitive edge in your career. You can choose up to four 10-UK credit modules per semester on the Junior Semester Abroad programme, one of which could include the British culture module.
Modules are timetabled at the beginning of each semester; classes that run in the fall are not then offered again in the spring, and vice-versa.
Classes are negotiated with students on an individual basis prior to arrival and are subject to availability and suitability.
British Culture module
You’ll have the opportunity to take the British Culture module as part of your programme.
The class deepens your knowledge of British Culture and history, complementing your experience of living here. The aims of this module are to develop and enrich your knowledge and understanding of British Culture, reflecting on the influence of the past as well as the present.
You will acquire theoretical and practical experience of cultural analysis, with visits to famous castles, Roman palace ruins and other key cultural sites.
