Accommodation
Incoming exchange students to the School of Humanities and Social Science have the opportunity to live in one of our university halls of residences, typically this would be our Paddock Fields halls of residence, however this is not guaranteed as rooms are limited. Students should indicate whether they would like to stay in a room in our university halls on their application form.
We aim to keep a balance between students wanting to come for Semester 1 only and those wanting to come for Semester 2 only. For those students coming to study with us for Semester 1, there will be a limited number of rooms available. We will endeavour to house as many students as want to stay on campus, but we cannot guarantee accommodation for everyone until we know the total number of incoming students per year.
For those students coming to study with us for Semester 2 only, unfortunately we cannot guarantee a room until we have reviewed our accommodation provision at the end of the current year. We are hopeful that most students for Semester 2 will get a room in university halls if they want one, we will contact students directly to confirm accommodation by early January at the latest.
Our accommodation team can provide guidance on renting privately for those who wish to look into this.
Module options
Incoming students studying at School of Humanities and Social Science can take up to 30 ECTS of modules with us per semester.
Once your application has been processed, you will be given further guidance on your module options. Please note that these could be subject to change, of which you will be notified.
If you have any questions regarding module options, please get in contact with hssexchanges@brighton.ac.uk .
